Job Description
The US Actuarial Services (AS) team consists of 175 credentialed life, health and non-life actuaries. We provide advice and consulting services to life and health insurers, non-life insurers, reinsurers, captives, banks, third-party administrators, regulators, agents and brokers, and bureaus and associations. We have extensive experience serving the domestic and international insurance industry, and assist insurers with actuarial modernization, process improvement, risk and capital management, value analyses, deals, and financial reporting.

AS will employ individuals for strategic projects or "busy season" assistance to meet client demands.

These individuals are not eligible for the standard internship programs.

They may be considered for other PwC employment opportunities, but must apply for posted opportunities and be selected through the firm's standardized selection process.

Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 0


Minimum Academic Requirements: Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, statistics, finance, economics, mathematics or similar quantitative disciplines.




Job Duties:

Play a role supporting teams who provide core actuarial and insurance services provided to clients, participating in select projects and demonstrating creative thinking and individual initiative, including in the following areas:

- Cultivate teamwork dynamics through working as a team member: understanding personal and team roles; contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; and proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback; and,

- Demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks and communicating potential conflicts to a supervisor.


Job Requirements:

A basic understanding of actuarial science, applied statistics, risk and capital management, value analyses, and financial reporting standards, including in the following areas:

- Desire to pursue a career in actuarial consulting;

- Ability to interact with various levels of client and firm management in both written and verbal form; and,

- Ability to self-motivate and take responsibility for personal growth and development.
