PwC's Technology Consultants are a team of business integrators with extensive consulting and industry experience who help our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy through execution. PwC’s Forensic Technology consultants are a multi-faceted and global team of investigators who combine deep technical and analytical skills with an inquisitive mindset and broad consulting experience. Using a rich set of tools and technologies, we help clients respond to corruption, fraud and other unplanned events. Our projects are often high stakes, high profile matters, some of which have been featured in major newspapers such as the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal as well as TV shows such as American Greed.
Our clients typically call on us when they have experienced an unexpected adverse event. Such events may include fraud, corruption, money laundering, a lawsuit, subpoena or even a cybercrime attack that results in financial loss or confidential information being compromised. Among the actions we may take in a typical case might be:
-Aggregate and analyze the client’s complex transaction data to understand the level of financial, regulatory, or reputational exposure involved;
-Perform highly technical cyber forensics to determine the extent to which hackers may have compromised systems;
-Restore, decrypt and recover employee emails and documents, and perform advanced analytics on the content for use as evidence in court.
-Identify root causes and make go-forward recommendations to mitigate the risk of the adverse event reoccurring.
-Agile development and implementation of

software solutions to assist our clients in the mitigation of regulatory or business risks

Minimum Academic Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Financial Engineering, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Liberal Arts fields of of study
Preferred cumulative GPA: 3.3

Client service associate positions are entry-level and job seekers are traditionally in the final academic year of completing their educational requirements

Job Duties:
Forensic Technology Consulting Associates in the Advisory Practice will play an integral role by supporting consulting solutions to PwC clients, which includes the following areas:
- Abilities as team member; building solid relationships; communicating in an organized and knowledgeable manner; delivering clear requests for information; demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks; understanding personal and team roles; contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback; and communicating potential conflicts to a supervisor.
- Research and analysis of technical matters, while utilizing problem-solving skills. This includes the analysis of large and complex data sets, demonstrating an aptitude for conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses, using the standard suite of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to execute related deliverables.

Job Requirements:
In selecting Associates in the Forensic Technology practice, we look for individuals who have some proven knowledge and skills in the following areas:
- An analytical mindset and disciplined approach to problem-solving;
- Aptitude for technical analysis is a must, as is a desire to develop and sustain a wide-ranging set of technical data analysis skills;
- Demonstrated interest in technology through class work or internships and a desire to apply technical solutions to business and legal problems;
- Desire to pursue a consulting career;
- Flexibility and desire to travel, as client assignments require;
- A basic understanding through coursework, experience and/or internships of Technology consulting and one or more of the following areas
Programming in SQL, Access, Oracle, Pearl, Java, C, C++, .NET and HTML or XML; Windows 2002/2003, and/or Unix; Firewall, Networking, TCP/IP and Operating Systems; Application development and design, portals, and/or packaged Web applications. Also, professionals in PwC's Public Sector practice are subject to a government security investigation and may need to meet related eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
