Job Description
Whether a company is making an acquisition, selling a business unit, entering into a joint venture, or raising capital through an initial public offering or other capital markets transactions, our Transaction Services (TS) professionals can help clients carry out the right transactions and negotiate better terms. Our professionals understand the complexities in evaluating, structuring and executing each transaction wherever our clients are doing deals. Members of the Transaction Services Valuation group collaborate to offer a full spectrum of integrated mergers and acquisitions services designed to increase deal success and minimize transaction risks.

The Valuation experts within PwC's Deals Practice advise corporate clients and private equity firms on the value of businesses, assets, derivatives and other securities for a variety of purposes including mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions and strategic planning. We conduct industry research, analyze financial statements of target companies and competitors, and develop financial models for discounted cash flow, market multiple and option pricing analyses. We consult with our clients to understand their business issues and advise them on the impact of potential transactions and strategic initiatives on their business. We also work with other groups in PwC’s Deals Practice and other lines of service to deliver broad business advice to our clients.

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 0

Minimum Academic Requirements: Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance and/or Accounting; or MBA and/or a Masters degree in Finance or Accounting
Preferred cumulative GPA: 3.3
Preferred Major GPA: 3.3.
Eligible students should be in the 3rd year of a 4 yr degree program or in the 4th year of a 5 yr program.
Client service interns typically join us during the winter/spring or summer prior to their intended graduation year.

Certification(s) Preferred: Before starting with PwC full time, will be eligible to sit for the primary credential exam appropriate for the appropriate practice area, such as having 150 credit hours to sit for the CPA exam in certain states.

Job Duties:
Selected interns will gain exposure through collaborating with senior Valuation practitioners and other professionals
from partners and directors to third party appraisers and participating in a myriad of tasks that include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Performing in-depth client, industry, market, and competitor research
- Creating financial models for the business or transaction being analyzed using the discounted cash flow method, guideline public company or transaction method, or option pricing methods
- Valuing companies; evaluate and understand potential transactions and their impact on acquirers and sellers
- Preparing memoranda and/or reports that communicate findings and recommendations to our clients concisely and effectively

Job Requirements:
Demonstrates proven in interest in obtaining advanced degrees and/or professional designations (CPA, ASA, CFA) related to Transaction Services Demonstrates proven academic studies, coursework, and/or professional experience related to performing Transaction Services within a professional services culture that emphasizes the following abilities:
- Creative and innovative problem-solving;
- Prioritizing and handing multiple tasks within a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment;
- Interacting with various levels of client and firm management in both written and verbal form;
