Job Description
Insourced Solutions for Tax (IST) team at PwC is at the forefront of the tax profession, creating a distinctive new approach to providing tax managed services. IST delivers top talent, technology and processes across our global network to provide an alternative tax function model that is fit for purpose today and into the future. The Insourced Solutions for Tax (IST) Risk Management, Controversy Solutions and Litigation Support team is a national network of tax professionals prepared to help clients successfully navigate IRS process and procedure to facilitate compliance, drive negotiations, issue resolution, and assist with strategic planning. The team combines the knowledge and extensive experience of professionals from major law and accounting firms, leading in-house tax departments, and all major IRS functions including examinations, appeals, international, and Chief Counsel.

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 0

Minimum Academic Requirements: Juris Doctorate Preferred cumulative GPA: 3.3
Preferred Major GPA: 3.3

Client service associate positions are entry-level and job seekers are typically in the final academic year of completing their educational requirements or have graduated.

Certification(s) Required: Before starting at PwC, the selected candidates will be eligible to sit for the bar in the appropriate work state.

Degree Preferred: Master of Laws (LLM) degree

Job Duties:

Demonstrates some knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

- Research tax laws, rules and regulations and analyze their application to specific situations, and in turn, draft memorandums to defend decisions and/or outline solutions to those issues;

- Participate in a wide range of projects and consistently demonstrate creative thinking and individual initiative;

- Work effectively in a team environment by understanding personal and team roles;

- Contribute to a positive working environment by building relationships with team members;

- Seek guidance, clarification and feedback proactively; and,

- Identify and address client needs, build relationships with clients; approach clients in an organized and knowledgeable manner; deliver clear requests for information.

Job Requirements:

Demonstrates some abilities and/or a proven record of success in federal and state tax laws including the following areas:

- Research and analyze tax laws, rules and regulations, pertinent client, industry, and technical matters.

- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and utilize problem solving skills; and,

- Interact with various levels of client and firm management through both written and verbal communications.
