Job Description
Under the Assurance umbrella, the Risk Assurance practice encompasses solutions that are driven by dynamic global markets which require companies to take actions to successfully address business risks and opportunities.

Our professionals work across sectors and develop deep competencies which allow them to advise both audit and non-audit clients. Practitioners are thought leaders in developing innovative responses to a changing risk environment, in areas such as Compliance, Reporting, Internal Audit, and Data Analytics.

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 0

Minimum Academic Requirements: Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance/Economics, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Statistics Mathematics, Regulatory Compliance, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and/or other business field of study.
Preferred cumulative GPA: 3.3
Preferred Major GPA: 3.3.
Eligible students should be in the 3rd year of a 4 yr degree program or in the 4th year of a 5 yr program.
Client service interns typically join us during the winter/spring or summer prior to their intended graduation year.

Certification(s) Preferred: Before starting with PwC full time, will be eligible to sit for the primary credential exam appropriate for the appropriate practice area, such as having 150 credit hours to sit for the CPA exam in certain states.

Job Duties:
Play a role as an intern in PwC's Risk Assurance practice assisting with the development of risk assessments and audit plans; assisting in the execution of internal controls, internal and external audit support fieldwork or Sarbanes-Oxley. Participate in select portions of internal controls and/or internal/external audits. Participate in projects, demonstrating creative thinking and individual initiative. Cultivate teamwork dynamics through working as a team member: understanding personal and team roles; contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; and proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback. Demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks; and communicating potential conflicts to a supervisor. Exercise professional skepticism in gathering, reviewing, and analyzing client information.

Job Requirements:
Demonstrates some knowledge of, and/or proven record of success through experience or coursework in, the broad range of risks affecting companies and management decision making, complex IT environments and/or all aspects of auditing, including in the following areas:
- Desire to pursue a career in Public Accounting;
- Basic understanding of one or more of the following: application controls, IT general controls, financial reporting concepts and the internal and/or external audit process;
- Experience demonstrating strong problem solving skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks;
- Ability to interact with various levels of client and firm management in both written and verbal form; and,
