Job Description
The Master Limited Partnership (MLP) Practice is a dedicated multi-disciplinary group specializing in Tax reporting for large or complex partnership structures. Our personnel consist of full-time tax, system, and investor relations specialists with many years of experience within this industry. The MLP practice is comprised of two distinct entities working together. The MLP group in Dallas provides support services for client K-1 preparation through a proprietary solution developed jointly by our in house application development specialists and partnership tax professionals. The MLP group in Houston teams with the Dallas practice principally to provide our MLP clients with 1065 compliance and planning services. Together, the two MLP practice groups provide an unparalleled level of service to our large and rapidly growing portfolio of MLP clients.

The MLP Group is organized into three core functional areas: tax team, client team, and technology team. Both the client and tax teams directly leverage their subject matter expertise against a variety of custom applications to deliver a high level of value to our clients. The application development team works with a variety of leading edge technologies to build, refine and continually enhance our proprietary software.

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 0

Minimum Academic Requirements: Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Preferred cumulative GPA: 3.3
Preferred Major GPA: 3.3.
Eligible students should be in the 3rd year of a 4 yr degree program or in the 4th year of a 5 yr program.
Client service interns typically join us during the winter/spring or summer prior to their intended graduation year.


Degree Preferred: Master's degree in Accountancy, Taxation, JD or LLM Taxation


Certification(s) Preferred: Before starting with PwC full time, will be eligible to sit for the primary credential exam appropriate for the appropriate practice area, such as having 150 credit hours to sit for the CPA exam in certain states.



Job Duties:
Play a role as an intern in PwC's MLP practice.
- Participate in select phases of the tax consulting and compliance engagements which may include aspects of planning, execution and completion;
- Participate in select projects; demonstrate creative thinking, flexibility and individual initiative;
- Contribute to collaborative teamwork, through working effectively as a team member: understanding personal and team roles; contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback; and,
- Flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks; and communicating potential conflicts to a supervisor.


Job Requirements:
Demonstrates some knowledge of, and/or proven record of success through prior experience and/or coursework in accounting, including the following:
- A desire to pursue a career in Tax;
- Ability to interact with various levels of client and firm management through both written and verbal communications; and,
- Demonstrated self-motivation and a desire to take responsibility for personal growth and career development.


Candidates must have 150 credit hours and be CPA eligible.
