A PwC consulting career may provide the opportunity to grow and contribute in one or more of our key technology competencies that we apply to our clients' business issues every day, including: IT strategy; enterprise architecture; enterprise applications like SAP and Oracle; applications integration; information management; IT infrastructure; large scale program and portfolio management; IT security, privacy and risk (including cybercrime), data analytics, e-discovery and computer forensics; and emerging technologies like cloud, mobility, social networking, and other progressive areas that bring competitive advantage to our clients.

PwC’s Forensic Technology consultants are a multi-faceted and global team of investigators who combine deep technical and analytical skills with an inquisitive mindset and broad consulting experience. Our projects are often high stakes, high profile matters, some of which have been featured in major newspapers such as the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal as well as TV shows such as American Greed.
Our clients typically call on us when they have experienced an unexpected adverse event. Such events may include fraud, corruption, money laundering, a lawsuit, subpoena or even a cybercrime attack that results in financial loss or confidential information being compromised. Among the actions we may take in a typical case might be:
-Aggregate and analyze the client’s complex transaction data to understand the level of financial, regulatory, or reputational exposure involved;
-Perform highly technical cyber forensics to determine the extent to which hackers may have compromised systems;
-Restore, decrypt and recover employee emails and documents, and perform advanced analytics on the content for use as evidence in court.
