Job Description
The Financial Markets group is a cross functional team with industry specialties to provide a broad array of tax, accounting, and financial services to the securitization, structured product, fixed income, and real estate industries.

The tax practice focuses on all aspects of these industries and provides tax consulting, compliance, and technology services to all market participants including hedge funds, mutual funds, banks, investment banks,

REITs and REMICs.

Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 0

Minimum Academic Requirements: Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting or a Juris Doctorate
Preferred cumulative GPA: 3.3
Preferred Major GPA: 3.3
Client service associate positions are entry-level and job seekers are typically in the final academic year of completing their educational requirements or have graduated.


Certification(s) Preferred: Before starting at PwC, will be eligible to sit for the primary credential exam appropriate for relevant practice area, such as having 150 credit hours to sit for the CPA exam in certain states.


Job Duties:
Demonstrates some proven ability to play an integral role as a professional on PwC's Financial Markets Team supporing clients including but not limited to:
- researching tax issues & following tax legislative events;
- assisting in the structuring of financial instruments;
- consulting on tax operations and processes;
- preparing tax returns with respect to finance companies, fixed income securities, and structured transactions and market participants;
- developing and implementing comprehensive tax system solutions for complex financial products;
- tax modeling of complex financial assets, such as mortgage backed securities and derivatives Participate in a wide range of projects; consistently demonstrating creative thinking and individual initiative. Consistently demonstrate teamwork dynamics through working as a team member: understand personal and team roles; contribute to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; proactively seek guidance, clarification and feedback; and, provide guidance, clarification and feedback to less experienced team members. Identify and address client needs: build solid relationships with clients; develop an awareness of Firm services; approach client in an organized and knowledgeable manner; deliver clear requests for information; and demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks.


Job Requirements:
A solid understanding of financial accounting, capital markets, taxation, and financial mathematics. Demonstrated ability to research and analyze pertinent client, industry, and technical matters. Experience demonstrating effective problem solving skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Ability to interact with various levels of client and firm management in both written and verbal form. Demonstrates some proven ability to self-motivate and take responsibility for personal growth and development.
