Job Description
PricewaterhouseCoopers' Core Assurance group organizes around industries to share the latest research and points of view on emerging industry trends, develop industry-specific performance benchmarks based upon global best practices, and share methodologies and approaches in complex areas such as financial instruments and tax provisioning. In addition, our network is available to collaborate on accounting or technical issues unique to a particular industry, especially when interpretive guidance is needed.
Members of our core assurance group provide independent assurance to clients on the financial performance of their businesses and the internal controls that govern their financial information. Our audit teams ask the tough questions and tackle the tough issues to produce financial statements that investors and the investing community can trust. Services provided include our core financial statement and internal control audits; plan audits; business and performance reporting; and social, environmental and other compliance reviews.
The Japanese Business Network (JBN)

is a group within the Private Companies Services (PCS) practice of PwC-US that provides Assurance, Tax, and Advisory services to global Japanese companies, in Japanese.

JBN provides its services within the major US cities.

We are advisors that help our clients resolve issues and expand their businesses in the US marketplace by providing financial statement audits; M&A research; tax compliance and consulting; corporate valuations; and other compliance supports. The wide range of our client bases include, but are not limited to, retailing, manufacturing, financial services and real estates. JBN professionals strive to possess knowledge of the most updated market trends and events within our own Assurance, Tax, and Advisory specialties in order to help companies solve problems as their advisors. We look for individuals who are not only knowledgeable within their fields, but also who can apply their knowledge and respond to client needs in a timely manner.

Furthermore, individuals will make the fullest possible use of their bilingual language skills, and provide clients with US professional knowledge.

Position/Program Requirements
Job Duties

-Play a role as an intern in PwC's core audit services provided to clients.

-Participate in select phases of a financial statement audit.

-Participate in select projects; demonstrating creative thinking and individual initiative.

-Cultivate teamwork dynamics through working as a team member: understanding personal and team roles; contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; and proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback.

-Flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks; and communicating potential conflicts to a supervisor.

-Exercise professional skepticism in gathering, reviewing, and analyzing client information.

Job Requirements

-Interest in all aspects of auditing and a desire to pursue a career in public accounting.

-Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and current accounting policies and procedures.

-Ability to demonstrate strong problem solving skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.

-Ability to interact with various levels of client and firm management in both written and verbal form.

-Ability to self-motivate and take responsibility for personal growth and development.

-Pursuing a Bachelor degree in Accounting or a commitment to satisfy all of the minimum requirements for CPA licensure per respective state regulations
-Individuals must have the ability to communicate (i.e., read, write, and speak) with business fluency in Japanese and English.
