Job Description
Tax Technology & Compliance technology team members act as the direct liaison with senior IT professionals within PwC and our clients by providing specialized assistance to troubleshoot and resolve issues surrounding the technical application aspects of our tax technology solutions.

The team utilizes propriety web applications and is

responsible for managing technology support.

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 0

Minimum Academic Requirements: Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems or Computer Sciences
Preferred cumulative GPA: 3.3
Preferred Major GPA: 3.3.
Eligible students should be in the 3rd year of a 4 yr degree program or in the 4th year of a 5 yr program.
Client service interns typically join us during the winter/spring or summer prior to their intended graduation year.


Certification(s) Preferred: Before starting with PwC full time, will be eligible to sit for the primary credential exam appropriate for the appropriate practice area, such as having 150 credit hours to sit for the CPA exam in certain states.



Job Duties:
Play an integral role in providing monitoring and diagnosis of technical issues with production systems to our clients as a professional in PwC's Tax Technology & Compliance practice. Participate in all phases of basic systems implementation projects with some direct supervision, injecting technical expertise. Participate in a wide range of projects; consistently demonstrate creative thinking and individual initiative. Consistently demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team environment: understanding personal and team roles; contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; and proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback. Identify and address client needs: build solid relationships with clients; develop an awareness of Firm services; approach clients in an organized and knowledgeable manner; deliver clear requests for information; and demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks.


Job Requirements:
A solid academic understanding of advanced programming concepts and object oriented design patterns, emphasizing data structures and algorithms and leveraging the following technologies and concepts:
- MS SQL Server 2008 or 2012
- .NET Framework
- ASP .NET and/or ASP .NET MVC
- Visual Basic .NET
- Database Design, C#.Net, MS SQL
- HTML
- Visual Studio .NET
- MS Teamsystem
- Software Development Lifecycle, Agile Methodologies (Scrum, etc) Demonstrates some proven ability to interact with various levels of client and firm management through both written and verbal communications, emphasizing a client-service orientation to leverage creative problem-solving skills, execute various deliverables simultaneously as both a team member and independently, and research and deliver results of pertinent client, industry, and technical matters. Demonstrate self-motivation and a desire to take responsibility for personal growth and career development.
