Job Description
The Master Limited Partnership (MLP) Practice is a dedicated multi-disciplinary group specializing in Tax reporting for large or complex partnership structures. Our personnel consist of full-time tax, system, and investor relations specialists with many years of experience within this industry. The MLP practice is comprised of two distinct entities working together. The MLP group in Dallas provides support services for client K-1 preparation through a proprietary solution developed jointly by our in house application development specialists and partnership tax professionals. The MLP group in Houston teams with the Dallas practice principally to provide our MLP clients with 1065 compliance and planning services. Together, the two MLP practice groups provide an unparalleled level of service to our large and rapidly growing portfolio of MLP clients.

The MLP Group is organized into three core functional areas: tax team, client team, and technology team. Both the client and tax teams directly leverage their subject matter expertise against a variety of custom applications to deliver a high level of value to our clients. The application development team works with a variety of leading edge technologies to build, refine and continually enhance our proprietary software.

Minimum Academic Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems or Computer Sciences
Preferred cumulative GPA: 3.3
Preferred Major GPA: 3.3
Client service associate positions are entry-level and job seekers are typically in the final academic year of completing their educational requirements or have graduated.


Certification(s) Preferred: Before starting at PwC, will be eligible to sit for the primary credential exam appropriate for relevant practice area, such as having 150 credit hours to sit for the CPA exam in certain states.


Job Duties:
Play an integral role in providing monitoring and diagnosis of technical issues with production systems to our clients as a professional in PwC's Master Limited Partnership practice. Participate in all phases of basic systems implementation projects with some direct supervision, injecting technical expertise. Participate in a wide range of projects; consistently demonstrate creative thinking and individual initiative. Consistently demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team environment: understanding personal and team roles; contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; and proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback. Identify and address client needs: build solid relationships with clients; develop an awareness of Firm services; approach clients in an organized and knowledgeable manner; deliver clear requests for information; and demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks.


Job Requirements:
A solid academic understanding of advanced programming concepts and object oriented design patterns, emphasizing data structures and algorithms and leveraging the following technologies and concepts:
