Job Description
PricewaterhouseCoopers' Core Assurance group organizes around industries to share the latest research and points of view on emerging industry trends, develop industry-specific performance benchmarks based upon global best practices, and share methodologies and approaches in complex areas such as financial instruments and tax provisioning. In addition, our network is available to collaborate on accounting or technical issues unique to a particular industry, especially when interpretive guidance is needed.

Members of our core assurance group provide independent assurance to clients on the financial performance of their businesses and the internal controls that govern their financial information. Our audit teams ask the tough questions and tackle the tough issues to produce financial statements that investors and the investing community can trust. Services provided include our core financial statement and internal control audits; plan audits; business and performance reporting; and social, environmental and other compliance reviews.

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 0

Minimum Academic Requirements: Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Preferred cumulative GPA: 3.3
Preferred Major GPA: 3.3.
Eligible students should be in the 3rd year of a 4 yr degree program or in the 4th year of a 5 yr program.
Client service interns typically join us during the winter/spring or summer prior to their intended graduation year.


Certification(s) Preferred: Before starting with PwC full time, will be eligible to sit for the primary credential exam appropriate for the appropriate practice area, such as having 150 credit hours to sit for the CPA exam in certain states.


Job Duties:
Play a role as an intern in PwC's core audit services provided to clients. Participate in select phases of a financial statement audit. Participate in select projects; demonstrating creative thinking and individual initiative. Cultivate teamwork dynamics through working as a team member: understanding personal and team roles; contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; and proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback. Flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks; and communicating potential conflicts to a supervisor. Exercise professional skepticism in gathering, reviewing, and analyzing client information.


Job Requirements:
Interest in all aspects of auditing and a desire to pursue a career in public accounting. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and current accounting policies and procedures. Ability to demonstrate strong problem solving skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks. Ability to interact with various levels of client and firm management in both written and verbal form. Ability to self-motivate and take responsibility for personal growth and development.
