Job Description
The TECCS (Technology Enabled Compliance and Consulting Services) group is a dedicated group of highly motivated and energetic tax and technology professionals within our Tax Practice.

We strive to automate, conceptualize, design and maintain software solutions for complex tax compliance & modeling problems. The nature of this work promotes an environment that encourages brainstorming, team working and creative solutions.

The group fosters technological and accounting skills and professionals may focus on one area than the other, if desired. The dual nature of the work also makes it possible to become a double threat
- enabling one to bridge accounting expertise with a foundation of technology. We specialize in providing technology driven solutions through our proprietary web-based applications that are built on Oracle Databases using a mix of Java, .NET and PLSQL. We address tax and accounting for complex partnership structures, massive fixed asset portfolios, and Like-Kind Exchange Programs.

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 0

Minimum Academic Requirements: Bachelor's degree in MIS or Computer Science (with coursework in Accounting preferred); or a Bachelor's degree in Accounting (with course work in Computer Science or MIS preferred)
Preferred cumulative GPA: 3.3
Preferred Major GPA: 3.3
Client service associate positions are entry-level and job seekers are traditionally in the final academic year of completing their educational requirements


Job Duties:
Play an integral role on a team that provides technology driven solutions that address tax and accounting for intricate partnership structures, fixed asset portfolios, and Like-Kind Exchange Programs to our clients as a professional in PwC's tax practice. Participate in all phases of client engagements, including the formation and operations of the partnership structure, the rules and regulations on of advanced fixed asset topics and complicated partnership transactions involving built-in-gains, like-kind exchanges, and depreciation. Participate in a wide range of projects; consistently demonstrate creative thinking and individual initiative. Consistently demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team environment: understanding personal and team roles; contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; and proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback. Identify and address client needs: build solid relationships with clients; develop an awareness of Firm services; approach clients in an organized and knowledgeable manner; deliver clear requests for information; and demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks.


Job Requirements:
A desire to pursue a career in tax and technology. Demonstrated ability to research and analyze tax laws, rules and regulations and to analyze pertinent client, industry, and technical matters. Experience demonstrating strong problem solving skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Ability to interact with various levels of client and firm management through both written and verbal communications. Demonstrated self-motivation and has a desire to take responsibility for personal growth and career development.
